Development of Greenspace, Outdoor Events and Community Landmarks
Streams and Valleys is a Non Profit Organization that seeks to build a sense of adventure. In addition, build a river corridor link between current day Wichita Falls and it’s original townsite. Projects include the “Put the Falls Back Campaign” in which Streams and Valleys partnered with the City of Wichita Falls for the funding and construction of the “Falls” on the Wichita Rive
Streams and Valleys headquarters is at Berend’s Landing, an historic site that includes a vintage grain elevator, the site of the Original Falls, the Midwestern State University Bicycle Racing Team dorm, The Wee-Chi-Tah Sculpture, Riverside Cycling Center, PETS and the head of the Wee-Chi-Tah Trail. Streams and Valleys welcomes nature enthusiasts, off road runners and riders to use the Wee-Chi-Tah trail. It was named the “Best Urban Off Road Trail in Texas” by the Subaru Trail Doctors who work for Texas Parks and Wildlife. The trail is wild so use it at your own risk!
